Spring Fever!!!

Is it possible that my last post 2 weeks ago was about snow days??? We have been graced with several wonderful days of unseasonably warm weather this last week, but today took the prize. Low 70's, sunny and just gorgeous! On February 17th!! Who would think we'd be so lucky to get this kind of weather so early? The kids and I took the opportunity to go outside after school today. We played on the playground and with some of the neighbor kids. Oh, how great it was to see all of them smeared up with sidewalk chalk after such a cold couple of months!

This was our yard less than 2 weeks ago!!

Life has been rolling right along here. Some recent events to note:

• We took the kids to the school carnival last Friday evening at Laura's school. There were lots of games and prizes for the kids, and most importantly, the bounce house!
• Laura has been back into swim lessons and gymnastics at the Y for about 3 weeks now. Her latest excitement was getting to walk on the high balance beam for the first time this past Saturday. Boy, was she excited!
• Nathan is taking a preschool music class at the Y and loving it. I catch him singing the songs from class while he's playing--very cute!
• Laura received another outstanding report card for the second quarter. She even went up in some areas from last quarter. We are very, very proud of her adjustment to and success in kindergarten.
• Nathan continues to potty train, and has made more progress. He is getting so grown up now!
• Cliff and I continue our Thursday morning "dates" doing Latin hip hop (basically Zumba) together at the Y. We are enjoying it very much, and we are getting more coordinated each week. We actually look like we know what we're doing now....at least most of the time. :)

I hope wherever you are that you are getting a taste of some of this great weather too! Spring is around the corner....we certainly have the fever now!
