Happy 3rd Birthday, Nathan!

Thursday was a happy day for our little guy. Our big boy turned 3! It was a mellow day at home. Laura was still home from school recovering from a bout with the flu, so we hung out at the house, and Nathan got to spend the day playing, playing, playing. Later in the afternoon, we did gifts, dinner and cake. We set my cell phone alarm to go off at exactly 4:28pm, the time when he was born. When the alarm went off, Nathan shouted "I'm 3! I'm 3!"

"How old are you, Nathan??"

I found these pictures in my scrapbooking supplies. In '08, Walmart printed about 60 copies of the wrong picture for our Christmas cards. I've never known what to do with all of these, so I used them to decorate one of his presents. He loved it!

Opening up a soccer ball from Great Grandma! Cool!

A new art pad from Grandma & Grandpa T.

A bucket of safari animals from Mom & Dad.

Birthday feast: hot dog, tater tots & kiwi.

Nathan requested an orange cake. I thought it was a fairly random choice, but it was delicious!

We can't believe our little boy is growing up so quickly. He still talks incessantly; he is very inquisitive and very, very verbal for his age. Nathan loves to sing, play with his toys, read books, dance, play with his sister and eat. The coming year will bring big things for him: swim lessons, gymnastics classes at the Y, finishing potty training, moving to a new home and continuing to learn, learn, learn. He is silly, funny, sweet and stubborn, and we love every bit of him!
