We took our first visit to Six Flags over Georgia to break in our season passes. A great time was had by all! Both kids tackled as many rides as they could, and Laura is proving to be quite the coaster daredevil. She just cracked the 48 inch threshold, so she can ride some GOOD stuff now! Nathan is just shy of 42 inches, which holds him back from some of the "starter coasters" for now. Some taller shoes and a little growth spurt may get him on some more rides later this summer. :)
The next day, we celebrated Cliff's birthday with presents and brunch in the early afternoon, a relaxing day at home, and dinner out followed by cake at home.
Trust me when I say that this shirt and tie really suit him!!

We visited Candide at a park just outside of Atlanta. Unfortunately, she has pretty advanced cancer and will not be around too much longer. This may have been our last visit with her, but it sure was a good one, and it was great to see her and see the kids enjoy her so much!
We went to NC again to visit Grandma and Grandpa T. and to go see Great-Grandma W. While we were there, we stopped by the Carl Sandburg home and let the kids visit the goat farm.

Nathan and I just wrapped up a great year of weekly story time at our local library. These ladies put on such a great program for the kids. Nathan just loves to visit Miss Sue (here dressed as Mother Goose) and Miss Anne. We can't wait for Summer Reading Club!
Playdates at the park are becoming almost a weekly venture now. Last week's trip involved lots of fun and lots of sand.
As we start May today, we are looking forward to our summer. Cliff officially starts giving final exams today, and Laura is just 13 school days away from the end of first grade. We sure are proud of her and can't wait to have her home for the summer again!
