Laura had her first day of preschool this morning. She is attending Excite (the Head Start program in Lincoln Public Schools) 5 half-days per week. She did really well today--was excited to go and didn't get upset when I left. Here is a picture of her ready to leave the house:

When I dropped her off, her teachers were there to greet her, give her a name tag and take her picture:

After picking her up, I got these highlights from her:
- She had grape juice, milk and a waffle for breakfast.
- Lunch consisted of pizza, carrots, applesauce and milk.
- She got to play outside on the playground.
- They sang Itsy-Bitsy Spider with music on.
- They had to be quiet and walk in a line in the hallway.
- She got to play with toys.
That's pretty much what I've learned from her so far. I'm sure I will hear more stories as the day goes on, but she was already able to share quite a bit about her day for only being almost-4-years-old. :-) Looks like the year is starting off well!
