This week has been a fun one for Laura. It is the first week of youth classes at the YMCA I work at, and Laura is taking 2 classes this fall. She is signed up for both swim lessons and Kindernastics, which is a fundamentals of gymnastics class for 4-5 year olds. It was good to get her back in the pool after a few months away from it. She is pretty timid again about getting her face wet, but we hope she will warm up to it quickly. I will get pictures of that later in the fall session as she gets braver and braver.
This morning, she started Kindernastics and had a BLAST. She was smiling and running up and down the mats as soon as we got in the gym. This class is exactly what she needs, as large motor skills have never been her strong suit. She definitely struggled with some of the tasks in class today, but she tried everything and had so much fun doing it. We are looking forward to her progress over the next 6 weeks.
So excited to get started.....

Frog hopping....

Walking on the balance beam.....

Jumping off the springboard- she LOVED this!

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Towner for this active birthday gift!
