Heading into the Holidays

OK, so is it obvious I've been lost in end-of-the-semester stuff?  I'm WAY behind on posting here!  Here are some pictures from the start of the holiday season.

I enjoyed going to the Thanksgiving lunch at school with my favorite little boy a few weeks ago.

Two cute little turkeys: Nathan and his buddy Freddy.
The next day, I got to do it all over again with Laura!
Laura and her best friend, Savannah.  These two are fairly inseparable these days.
Lunch with my little lady.
Cliff presented some brass instruments to the kindergarten classes for the letter B week.  He demonstrated the bugle, the trumpet and the baritone.
The kids LOVED hearing him play the different instruments.  They especially loved hearing him buzz his mouthpiece.
After the instrument demonstration, he read them a book from our favorite kids' series, the Gerald and Piggie series by Mo Willems.
Cliff reads "Listen to My Trumpet" to the class.
Nathan brought home a packet of Thanksgiving-related projects from school.  His Thanksgiving plate just cracked us up.  Apparently, Nathan wanted to have caramel, chocolate, pie and three bottles of beer for his Thanksgiving dinner!
Our five-year-old put beer on his school project.  All I could do was laugh.
Last weekend, Laura was in her first parade.  She rode on a float in the Milledgeville Christmas parade with some of the other girls from her gymnastics studio.
It was cold and a little rainy, but she had fun.
Last week, the kindergarten classes got to sing at the PTA meeting.  Nathan joined the other kindergartners to sing "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Jingle Bells."  He loved wearing his elf hat and kept swinging his head side-to-side to hear the bell jingle.
Little elf waiting to get on the risers for his performance.
