A few days after Cliff's parents headed home, we got the phone call that the weather was looking good and my parents were ready to head out west to see us. So, over the long MLK weekend, we enjoyed another belated holiday visit with family. Unlike the subzero temps Cliff's parents were treated to, my parents arrived to 'balmy' temps in the 30's. We enjoyed a few days together playing games, opening gifts, eating dinner out and visiting the Sheldon Art Museum on the UNL campus. The kids loved having them here, and I'm pretty sure that after the 2 grandparent visits, Nathan just expected them to keep coming around. But alas, it was back to normal life this week. Cliff has been super busy both preparing for his upcoming conducting recital and helping run the UNL Winter Winds Festival this weekend. It's been weird to finally get back to normal for good this week, but it is good to be back into a routine. The good news from today is that we found out Laura will be able to attend kindergarten this fall in the same school she is in now for preschool. We applied to keep here there instead of her attending our neighborhood school, both because it's a good school, and we wanted some continuity for her since we know for sure she'll be changing schools for first grade when we move again. It's hard to believe that kindergarten is looming in the fall!
Well, here are some pictures of our time with my parents. Just a disclaimer......many of these pictures were taken by my dad, so he's not in any of them. :-( I had one picture with all of us, but realized that Laura was in the corner changing into her new dress-up dress, so I thought for the sake of her dignity it would be best not to include that one. :-) Anyway, sorry, Dad, that I didn't have pics with you in them!

Nathan got a new car from my brother and his family-thanks, Bill, Brenda, Alyssa & Ross!

My dad has a new hobby of making 3-D wooden puzzles. He brought one for each of the kids and they are so, so cool!
