In addition to being quite a savvy money counter / handler (shown above counting the allowance money she has saved up in each of her savings jars and her wallet), our girl is quite a student. Her grades, which already started out great going into the year, have only gone up as the year has continued on. In the second quarter, she made the merit list, and this week we learned that, for the third quarter, she has made it one step higher and made the honor roll. This is no small feat for a girl that not only moved into a new school halfway across the country, but also (due to differing age cut-off requirements for kindergarten in GA than in NE) is the youngest girl in her class (a whole year younger than several of her classmates). Her adaptability and resilience in the face of all of this is nothing short of impressive. Way to go, kiddo!!
