All Sorts of Summer Fun

We have found all sorts of ways to have fun this summer.  Between the wonderful programs at the library, free bowling passes for the kids for the whole summer, the pool on campus and friends, we keep our days fun and active.  Here is just a bit of what we've done this summer...........

Laura and friends work to build a free-standing tower out of skewers and marshmallows at the library's science day.

We hosted a play date at our house in June.  It was fun to have a bunch of friends over for playing and food.

The kids and I have learned how to make fruit smoothies this summer.  Both kids love the strawberry smoothies we've been making!

Seeing Ken Scott the Magician at the library has been one of the summer's highlights.  What a fun program!  They even got to sit in the front row!

Little rock star jamming out.

We love the Kids Bowl Free program, especially when we can go with friends!

Making dream catchers at the library was fun too.

Laura hung hers up at home right away to catch all of her bad dreams.

Best friends playing a game together on a hot summer afternoon.

Enjoying free cones from DQ courtesy of the library's Summer Reading Club.

So excited to go swimming at the outdoor pool on campus!  Both kids are getting more and more independent in the water.

A quiet morning at the park.

Thursday mornings are $2 movie/popcorn/pop days at our cinema.  So far, I've seen Puss in Boots with Laura, Over the Hedge with both kids, and last week, Kung Fu Panda with this handsome little dude. :)

Nathan loves these machines in the mall even when Mom's not willing to plug in 75 cents to make them move.

Laura did a week-long training camp at her gymnastics gym.  She LOVED it!!

Camp t-shirt. LCG stands for Lake Country Gymnastics.

This girl loves her gymnastics!

Nathan and I made the front page of the paper (bottom right) for attending the music program at the library!

Looking forward to a few more weeks of fun before the school year starts again!
