Seven!

Celebrating at school with cupcakes and drink pouches.
Wednesday we celebrated our girl's seventh birthday.  We had a nice little classroom party at school with her friends, followed by a nice family celebration at home.  It's hard to believe she's seven already!  She's growing up so much and learning so many things all of the time.  Her newest hobby...trying to figure out basic multiplication problems. :)

The newest installment of Laura's annual birthday CDs.

A beautiful "Laura" necklace from Gma & Gpa H.

"What's in here???"

Watercolor paper to make make new masterpieces on.

Blowing out the candle!

Laura is looking forward to one more little celebration when Gma & Gpa T. come to visit later this week!

In other news, preschool has been going really well here at home.  Nathan is a very eager little student and is pretty much game for any activity I throw at him.  Some of his favorites have been: making patterns with Fruit Loops, writing letters in shaving cream, finger painting to John Williams music, learning about groupings of animals (ever heard of a "smack of jellyfish"?), using scissors and plastic forks to manipulate Play-Doh, anything involving sorting or counting marbles or mini craft pom poms, and, of course, recess!

Sorting pom poms by color with tongs.  We then went on to make various patterns.  He is hard to stump!

Writing letters in shaving cream is FUN!

A happy mess!

We learned about seeds and plants, then planted a mini herb garden in an egg carton.
Life has been busy, but a good busy.  More updates to come soon!
