Well, it's been quite a month. After several weeks of simultaneously unpacking our stuff into the new house and cleaning out the old house, we are happy to announce that we left the keys on the kitchen counter of the old house for the last time on Sunday. Our lease officially ended at 11:59pm Monday night, so except for getting our security deposit back, we are officially out of one house and in the other! Moving has consumed so much time, that I'm just now getting back to normal things like posting on here.
Last week, our big, beautiful girl turned EIGHT!! I surprised Laura at school on her birthday by showing up to have lunch with her (with some Dunkin Donuts treats in tow). Unfortunately, she came home a few hours later with a 102.5 fever, so she spent the rest of her birthday in bed. :( She was, however, back to normal in time to celebrate with swimming, gifts and her birthday meal on Sunday afternoon.

| Ready to open gifts from Mom & Dad, and already loving her new fleece from Gma. & Gpa. H. |

| She was SO excited to get some "new" Barbie stuff! |
Since her 3rd birthday, we've been slowly giving Laura the pieces of my childhood Barbie collection. This birthday marks the end of that process. The last toys, the Barbie Dream Store fashion and make-up departments have already gotten some great play time this week.

| The final installment of the classic Barbie collection. |

| She was also very excited to get her own Lego kit. She and Daddy built the car right away on Sunday afternoon. |
Since Laura's 5th birthday, we've also had a tradition of making a birthday mix CD. The 5th birthday was made up mostly of Laura's favorite songs of the time. The 6th birthday was "Girl Power", and last year, we made "Celebration." This year, we decided to play on Laura's growing love of watching our Cosby Show DVDs by making a mix inspired by the show.

| Very excited to check out her new CD. |
 |
| It was fun picking out the songs for this one! We even bought the theme song on iTunes. |
Laura's other birthday gift, a new bike and helmet (a joint venture with us and Gma & Gpa T.) has already had some good spins around the neighborhood. Now I just need to remember to take her picture on it!
Last weekend also saw the return of U6 (under age 6) soccer games in our lives. This year, Nathan and his friends are the "older kids" in this 4- & 5-year-old league. He is happy to be on the same team as his friends Freddy, Caleb and Joshua. The Grasshoppers had a great first game, and our dude even got two goals, one of which was from a sneaky little diagonal kick.

| He was SO excited to get in the game and play!! |
 |
| Running his heart out. |
 |
| Waiting to kick off. |

| Happy boy on a water break. |
The kids and I also made our annual visit to the Library Fair last weekend for some hot dogs, books and carnival games.

| Nathan ran into his sweet friend and classmate Hope. |
It really cannot be said enough how happy we are in our new house. Living in town so close to everything has been so great for us. Cliff is back to biking to work a few times a week. I just did a water workout in my own backyard pool this afternoon. We routinely see neighbors out walking their dogs in the nice, quiet neighborhood. The house is nice, just the right size and....no more steps!! I didn't mind living in a split foyer all that much, but I'm definitely loving life in our new single story ranch!!
