Pictures of Our New Place (Finally!)

Hello all! Well, it took me longer than I meant it to, but I did get around to snapping some pictures of the main floor of our apartment yesterday. So, here we go.......

We live in a townhouse apartment (our building is a side-by-side duplex), so we have a front door that leads into the living room and a back door that exits through the kitchen to our parking spaces out back. This first picture is of the dining area that is off the back of the living room. Off to the left where you can see the baby gate propped open is the doorway to the kitchen, which is off of the dining area.

The next picture is taken from the exact opposite direction from the dining room facing into the living area. You can see our front picture window, our font door off to the right and you can tell where the stairwell is that leads up to the bedrooms.
This is the stairwell that leads up to the bathroom, linen closet and 2 bedrooms. I didn't take any pictures of the bedrooms because, well, a bedroom is a bedroom :-) But we do have a walk-in closet in our room!
Here is a view of the kitchen from the doorway of the dining area. You can also see our back door. It's not a big kitchen by any means, but I have found ways to cope with it and have adjusted. We do actually have some pantry cabinets, so at least I don't have groceries spilling off my fridge and in my regular cabinets!

Here is the kitchen from the other angle, standing at the back door and looking back in. Off to the right you can see the door to our unfinished basement which is the size of the whole main floor. The basement is what makes this place possible for us because we have lots of storage room there. We have our laundry down there, Cliff's work bench, storage shelves and then one whole end that has a carpet remnant with some of the kids' toys, Cliff's study area and my scrapbooking table.

Overall, we are very, very happy here. We have yard space for the kids to play in, sidewalks for Big Wheel riding, several swing sets on the grounds, shady mature trees, the mail box right by our building and our parking spaces directly behind our building (not everyone here is so lucky on the last two). There is a convenience store no more than 20 yards from our back door which has proved to be convenient (ha!) when we want something like the Sunday paper. Well, I hope you enjoyed our virtual tour!
