Today we completed the second annual family Towner Retreat. This year's retreat was held at home with many ventures out in the community. The 3-day retreat is a time for us as individuals to assess the past year, write goals for 2009 and gain some perspective on where we each are on life's journey.
It is also a time for us to spend quality time together, just the four of us. Activities included going to the Y, game playing (I am the Candyland Champion and Laura is the Old Maid!), out to dinner, visited the play yard at the mall and just hung out. It was restful, quiet, fun and a great way to end 2008 and begin 2009. We have a lot of changes coming our way in the next year, so the respite was important.
