It's been great to be home and get things back to normal after being gone pretty much all of the previous week and a half. After returning from Cliff's parents' house, we had a couple of days to clean, unpack, do laundry, buy groceries, and basically get the house back in order before my parents arrived for another round of Christmas.We had a good couple of days with my parents. I won free hockey tickets at the Y, so we all took in a hockey game (we have a minor league team here) on New Year's Eve. Mom and Dad had never been to one, so they got a kick out of the atmosphere, especially the ridiculous fist fight that broke out between two players. We exchanged gifts with them, played a few games and went out to dinner one night. Laura got lots of practice with her new games--Candyland and Old Maid-- and we even got in some grown-up games of Scene It Seinfeld and Hearts after the kids went to bed. Mom and Dad got good time to play with both kids, and Laura loved having more buddies to do puzzles with and read books with. All in all, a good visit!
