Bragging Rights

Well, Cliff told me that since my team won, I got to do the post tonight. I am happy with the outcome, but always wonder why this game (Xavier-UC, for those not into the college basketball scene) has such ugliness. 5 technical fouls--ridiculous!! I especially am frustrated with XU's Derrick Brown for behaving so poorly when we already had the game all but won. He's a junior--he should know better! But, alas, we will head into the other "big game" against Duke next week with our perfect record intact. Should be interesting.... On a related note, Cliff enjoyed his Skyline very much--he constructed a 3-way and 2 cheese coneys, and seemed very pleased with it.

On other news, Cliff's community band played at an annual community event today. I went along with the kids and sat with my friend Mary Ann. She and Laura were dancing to the music, and we just saw that they got on the late news for a split second--kind of cute! This event raises money for area children who have little for Christmas. They auction a dog every year. This year's dog, a cairn terrier (like my childhood dog Corky) went for $20,000!

Also, we got some pictures of the "I know, I know..." game (see yesterday's post). Laura made a small rule amendment. While tickling is integral, she informed Dad in no uncertain terms that raspberries (or zerberts) were not part of the game. The game's a work in progress....
