Winter begins on Dec. 21???? I think not!!

Greetings from (what feels like) the arctic! Well, we won't be here over Christmas, but those who are will certainly have a white Christmas! The Weather Channel had us predicted to get "an inch or two" today, but that turned into more like 4-5 inches of light, powdery snow. It came down all day before finally tapering off in the afternoon. It was very pretty, but we were grateful to be able to stay home during the day. We have also been treated to some very bitter temperatures the last few days. We had a nice 50-degree day on Saturday, then plummeted to negative and single digit temps. And it's only December!!

Cliff shoveling.....AGAIN!!

We are tying up our loose ends before leaving on back-to-back trips. First, we're off tomorrow for Cliff's trip to a convention, and my (and the kids') trip to my sister's. Saturday, we pick up Cliff, return home, and then Sunday we fly out to Cliff's parents. After we get home a week later, my parents will arrive here for a visit. Should be a busy few weeks, but very nice to spend time with family. Laura is so excited, she can hardly wait to see everyone!

Cliff's community band had their holiday concert last night. It was a very nice show, and we had a good audience despite the bitter temperature. We got a sitter, so I even got to enjoy the show with my lap empty :-)

Well, by this time tomorrow night, we will be at our respective destinations. We'll post more later. I'm sure there will be stories to share when Laura and her cousin have time to play together!
It's cold out here!!!
